Biography
Michael Morley, MD, ScM, is an ophthalmologist specializing in retinal diseases at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, one of the largest ophthalmology practices in the United States. Dr. Morley has worked on a variety of projects in Bhutan for the past 15 years including clinical, research, and capacity building projects.
He is an assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and on staff at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Massachusetts General Hospital. He received a master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health in health care management.
Michael was awarded a Fulbright Specialist Grant in 2015 to work at the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University, Thailand. In addition to his clinical expertise, he has experience in global health, quality improvement, patient safety, clinical research, health care management, and teaching. More recently, he has focused on data projects including the use of smart phones in health care and deep learning analysis of retinal images.
