AeHIN’s Mind the GAPS Framework are the learning points and key messages garnered from AeHIN-organized conferences and meetings in recent years.
AeHIN believes that interoperability and responsive health information systems are achievable. The Mind the GAPS Framework helps break down the complexities of health information systems into manageable components. It highlights key areas that countries can focus on to efficiently and effectively implement their Digital Health strategies.
AeHIN encourages countries to lay out a clear governance structure and framework to guide the design and implementation of a blueprint (enterprise architecture). This governance structure and framework should ensure that stakeholders understand and follow the blueprint (program management) and standards needed for interoperability.
The AeHIN Mind the GAPS Playbook promotes capacity-building in IT Governance (COBIT5), enterprise architecture (TOGAF), program management (PRINCE2), and standards and interoperability (HL7/IHE).
In 2023, AeHIN wrote the AeHIN GAPS 2.0 White Paper which containes call to actions to strengthen digital health ecosystems in Asia. Download the GAPS 2.0 White Paper here.
