The Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN), with support from the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, is releasing this call for applicants to its certificate reimbursement program.

As part of AeHIN’s vision of a regional network of competent digital health professionals, AeHIN will reimburse its members the cost of certification for select online training programs (see list below).

This opportunity is open to all AeHIN members (subscribed to the mailing list) and who are actively participating in the AeHIN Hours/ webinars (attendance of at least two).

  1. Health Informatics Specialization (John Hopkins University via Coursera) at 49 USD/month (this reimbursement program expects course completion within 2 months);

  2. eHealth: More than just an Electronic Record (The University of Sydney via Coursera) at 49 USD/Certificate;

  3. The Telephone & Telemedicine in Clinical Medicine: An Instrument of Opportunity & Risk (Harvard Medical School) at 149 USD/Certificate;

  4. Epidemics, Pandemics, and Outbreaks (University of Pittsburgh via Coursera) at 49 USD/Certificate;

  5. COVID-19: A Clinical Update (University of Florida Emerging Pathogens Institute via Coursera) at 49 USD/Certificate

*The number of final recipients will be subjected to fund availability.

NOTE: We will offer a separate program for the  Collaborative Data Science in Medicine (HST953) via EDX . Please standby for the announcement!


  • Must be an AeHIN Member (subscribed to the AeHIN mailing list. Not a member? Join here)

  • Has attended at least 2 webinars from AeHIN since January 2020

  • Must be of Asian nationality

  • Currently employed in the government, academe, or NGO in his/her home country



  1. Eligible applicants must fill in their application form through this link on or before OCTOBER 25, 2020 (5:00 PM MANILA TIME). 

  2. Applications will be reviewed by designated AeHIN Working Council member/s.

  3. Applicants will be notified of their status.

  4. If approved, successful participants shall complete the course/s of their choice WITHIN EIGHT WEEKS UPON RECEIPT OF THEIR ACCEPTANCE EMAIL. Participants are expected to enroll and complete the courses on their own and pay for the fees on their own. Participants who have already completed the course/s before the application process can still have their certificates reimbursed as long as the proof of payment indicates date/s no earlier than June 5, 2020.


  1. After completion of the course/s, successful participants should submit a copy of their (1) certificate of completion and (2) proof of payment to to commence the reimbursement process. Participants who are not able to send the certificate and proof of payment within the specified timeframe may not be reimbursed.

  2. Upon receipt of the certificate and proof of payment, the successful participant will be reimbursed via PayPal. No other costs will be reimbursed to the participant.
