The Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) Indonesia, in collaboration with Gadjah Mada University’s Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, co-organized the Indonesia Digital Health Mini Convergence Workshop held at Wyndham Casablanca Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia on January 24, 2023.

Representatives from the Ministry of Health Indonesia’s Pusat Data dan Informasi (Pusdatin) and Digital Transformation Office (DTO), as well as the SATUSEHAT Technical Working Group, shared the digital health landscape in Indonesia. The AeHIN Governing Committee (GC) discussed the Mind the GAPS Framework.

A total of 62 attendees joined the event on-site and online via Zoom. They were from government agencies, development and implementing partners, associations, and local universities.

On January 25, the AeHIN team visited the DTO, Pusdatin, and Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Kesehatan (BPJS). At the DTO, Chief Setiaji, talked about the key factors in management in the health sector. At BPJS, Dr. Donni Hendrawan shared their developments since the last AeHIN General Meeting in Bali which they co-hosted. After the site visits, collaborations and planning for the next AeHIN General Meeting in Indonesia were discussed.

This year’s mini-convergence is the third AeHIN event in Indonesia. The two previous events were the AeHIN 4th General Meeting and Conference held in Bali 2015 and the AeHIN mission held in 2017.
