The Pacific Digital Health Interoperability Bootcamp was held from 28 to 30 April 2026 in Nadi, Fiji. Convened by the Pacific Community (SPC) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), with support from the Government of Australia and the World Bank, and in collaboration with the Pacific Health Information Network (PHIN), the Bootcamp brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the Pacific region. Participants included Ministry of Health representatives leading digital health initiatives, technical experts in health information systems and interoperability, and government stakeholders engaged in digital transformation, standards, and architecture.

The Bootcamp aimed to align regional efforts, strengthen collaboration, and accelerate the development of interoperable and sustainable digital health systems across the Pacific.

On Day 3, AeHIN Executive Director Mr. Jai Ganesh Udayasankaran joined the session remotely to present updates and key takeaways from the Digital Health Blueprint Toolkit Bootcamp 2025. Speaking during the segment on the Digital Health Blueprint, Mr. Udayasankaran highlighted the complementarity between AeHIN’s Convergence Workshop approach — which defines what to do — and the World Bank’s Digital Health Blueprint Toolkit — which outlines how to do it. He illustrated this through two practical scenarios, demonstrating how combining the convergence methodology and the toolkit with sequencing based on country context can yield more meaningful outcomes for countries at varying stages of their digital health journey.
