DR. BOONCHAI KIJSANAYOTIN
Dr. Boonchai Kijsanayotin earned his medical degree from the Chulalongkorn University and Board Certified Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine from Thai Medical Council.
He spent 15 years working at rural public hospital as an internal medicine clinician. While he was working as a clinician in the hospital, he was also responsible for the Hospital Information System (HIS) and oversaw the hospital telemedicine station, one of Thai Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Telemedicine project. In 2008, he received his MS. & Ph.D. in Health Informatics from University of Minnesota, USA.
Currently, he is the health informatician and research manager at Thai Health Information Standards Development Center (THIS), an affiliated agency of the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. He is also the chair of the Asian eHealth Information Network (AeHIN), vice president of Thai Medical Informatics Association (TMI), International representative of TMI for International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), member of Thai Medical Council and Royal College of Physicians of Thailand.
His working areas and research interest include eHealth in developing country especially Thailand, National health data standards and interoperability, Health Information Exchange (HIE), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Socio-technical aspect of Health Information Technology and Health/biomedical informatics education in Thailand. His current work is the development of Thai Medicines Terminology (TMT), the semantic standard for Thai pharmaceutical products.
DR. ALVIN MARCELO
Executive Director (Philippines)
Dr. Alvin Marcelo is a general and trauma surgeon by training who is currently the director of the Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) and the managing director of the Standards and Interoperability Lab for Asia (SIL-Asia).
At the University of the Philippines Manila, Dr. Marcelo held various posts such as director of the National Telehealth Center and Chief of the Medical Informatics Unit. He co-established the Master of Science in Health Informatics program and conducted local and international research in the field of eHealth and health information systems development.
He took his postdoctoral fellowship in medical informatics at the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland with research interests in telepathology, mobile computing, and bibliometric analysis of MEDLINE content. Dr Marcelo is certified in the governance of enterprise IT (CGEIT), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Archimate, and COBIT5 Implementation. Presently, he is the chief medical information officer of the St. Luke’s Medical Center.
DR. FAZILAH SHAIK ALLAUDIN
Board Member (Malaysia)
Dr. Fazilah is presently the Senior Deputy Director of Planning Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia since September 2017. Her responsibilities cover planning of Health Policies, Facility and eHealth. Prior to this, she has had various roles including Director of Telehealth Division and Deputy Director of Selayang Hospital.
She has been with the Ministry of Health for over 25 years, mainly in planning, project management and implementation of Hospital Information Systems. Since 2010, she has been leading digital strategy for the national health system transformation agenda and is extensively involved in digital health & innovation strategies in both public and private sector.
In her current capacity, her role covers eHealth collaborations domestically, regionally and globally.
Dr. Fazilah holds an M.D. from the National University of Malaysia (1991) and an MBA from the University of Toledo, Ohio (1996). She is professionally certified in enterprise architecture (TOGAF 9.0) and in governance & management of enterprise IT (COBIT 5.0).
JAI GANESH UDAYASANKARAN

Jai, works as the Senior Manager of Healthcare Information Technology and Telehealth at Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, a Public Charitable Trust based in India.
He has been involved in the planning, procurement, implementation of a wide spectrum of digital health projects like web-based Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for medical image management, telemedicine, tele-education, mobile point-of-care, minimum data set and standardization in Electronic Health/Medical Records, Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) for mobile hospitals providing rural outreach services, web portal for proactive and continuous monitoring of patients with chronic ailments, capacity building and technical assistance in e/mHealth.
He has been a resource person for various national eHealth convergence missions and Health Information Systems (HIS) strengthening workshops in South East Asia and Western Pacific Regional countries organised by Ministries of Health along with World Health Organisation (WHO), Asian Development Bank (ADB) Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN). He is an active participant in several online discussion groups, communities of practice and working groups including Digital Health and Interoperability from the Health Data Collaborative. He has also been a mentor for students and clinicians pursuing research on health informatics and innovative applications of information and communication technology (ICT) tools in health care services.
DR. ANIS FUAD
Board Member (Indonesia)
Anis Fuad is public health researcher and academician with strong interest on e-health. He has been involved in various projects, research and consultancies related to health informatics development and evaluation in Indonesia. He is affiliated to the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Population Health, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing of Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta. He is also the working council member and among the founders of AeHIN (Asia eHealth Information Network).
